The Asclepius Pain is the premier pain management practice in the Sacramento area, founded by a group of professionals representing multiple disciplines and possessing over 120 years of experience treating patients with pain and dysfunction.
Our mission is to accurately diagnose and compassionately treat individuals with pain. We empower and teach individuals to use diverse methods to manage their pain and to regain functional lives.
Asclepius Pain Management's multidisciplinary approach utilizes a treatment plan consisting of: Behavioral, Medical, Physical, Interventional components and further diagnostics. We also offer our Functional Restoration Program an interdisciplinary pain programs that Involves a team approach that is outcome focused and coordinated. It offers goal- oriented interdisciplinary services. Communication on a minimum of a weekly basis is emphasized. The most intensive of these programs is referred to as a Functional Restoration Program, with a major emphasis on maximizing function versus minimizing pain.
Asclepius is the god of medicine and healing in ancient Greek religion. Asclepius represents the healing aspect of the medical arts; his daughters are Hygieia ("Health"), Iaso ("Medicine"), Aceso ("Healing"), Aglæa/Ægle ("Healthy Glow"), and Panacea ("Universal Remedy").
The rod of Asclepius, a snake-entwined staff, remains a symbol of medicine today, although sometimes the caduceus, or staff with two snakes, is mistakenly used instead. He was associated with the Roman/Etruscan god Vediovis.
